This thread has been done in past years. But with the overall craziness of 2020, with the median home price being around $295k nationally, I was curious as to what $300k would get you in the metro area where you live today?

Here in the Charlotte metro area:

https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/1...65047359_zpid/
Charlotte - $300k, 3br 3ba, 2586sqft

https://www.zillow.com/community/may...77901801_zpid/
Gastonia (western suburb) - $300k, 3br 4ba, 3004sqft

https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/1...70604045_zpid/
Rock Hill, SC (southwestern suburb) - $300k, 5br 4ba, 2891sqft

https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/1.../6278512_zpid/
Matthews (southeastern suburb) - $300k, 4br 4ba, 4300sqft

You can buy a nice house, not a mansion but something pleasant and nice and about 2000 square feet n the suburbs in my area - newer construction or well renovated.
