Williamsburg VA. Near rivers, Chesapeake Bay, the ocean. Very progressive city in state that recently has been pretty reliably Democratic, though sometimes by small margins and Governor is now Republican (but maybe more about personality / campaigning than ideology). Small city.

NC usually has Democratic Governor but Republicans often control legislature and are aggressive in controlling what they can. Davidson votes Democratic for President. Not sure how liberal in local affairs. By a big lake and not that from coast.

Or Providence RI.
