Florida is famous for citrus fruit though sadly much of that has been outsourced to countries like Brazil since FL is more keen on overdevelopment. Arguably shellfish like Pink or White Shrimp (Key West area especially), Stone Crab, Spiny Lobster and saltwater fish like Grouper, Pompano, Red Snapper or Amberjack are the primary table items....and don't forget Key Lime Pie!
Floridians just aren't interested in farming. That's the primary issue. There is plenty of land available, but too few willing to do the work. The state is FULL of abandoned citrus groves.

True, though they are readily available also from Alaska to Southern California. I would add Salmon (also available elsewhere) but also the more lesser-known Geoduck, harvested in Washington more than anywhere else on the west coast.
