What city has the best music in hip hop pop rock and everything else?

In my opinion if you like pop music L.A. wins they got maroon 5, thepussy cat dolls, Fergi, black eyed peas, Hannah montanna, Gwen stafani, Cake, samantha james, taxi Doll, britteny spears, christina agulair how ever you spell her name, Etc. plus they help produce american idol stars and disney stars sorry i didnt include the south

Ill vote a 3 way tie.... I like bands from each area. NYC, IMO, has the better hip-hop, Chicago has the best blues (as well as rock bands like Disturbed, Chevelle, Fall Out Boy, Smoking Popes, Smashing Pumpkins, etc), L.A. has the best pop.

currently or historically? It's a tough call, they each have great bands and a lot of awful bands too. NYC rap will always be the best, with LA a quick 2nd but in recent years is seems like Chicago is the only thing standing up to dirty south crap (And no not Kanye. **** Kanye.)

Good rock music is coming from all over, not just restricted to the big cities.
