little ol Charleston WV has a nice 3 story downtown mall from what I have seen in pics, when it was opened in 1983 it was the largest mall east of the Mississippi.

The Mall of America has over 500 stores AND an amusement park inside.

Also, one of the MPLS burbs has a large outdoor outlet center. Albertville. But in the winter time, I'll take the MOA for obvious reasons.

the somerset collection in northern suburban detroit
very large mall with something for everyone ,also the skywalk takes you to a totally separate, VERY UPSCALE portion, many detroit athletes and famous people ( Kid Rock, Tim Allen , and Robin Williams) have been seen there

There isn't a shopping mall that has ever impressed me. I prefer real dowtown shopping areas.
