You can see Philadelphia about 60 miles away in the Lehigh Valley.

I have, wish I had a pic of it, really amazing.

Around 20 miles away? Can't really tell with no reference points. At most it would be 30 if it's from eastern Lake St. Clair.

I've seen downtown KC from Lee's Summit and Liberty, but the furthest I've seen it is probably 25 miles as the crow flies along 7 highway just south of Lansing. On the other side of the coin, I once saw the veteran's hospital in Leavenworth from the 39th floor of One KC Place, which is pretty far.

That's pretty awesome. Makes me want to drive up there just to see for myself, which I've gone almost that far (from KC) before on an unplanned joyride.

I've seen One KC Place from 151st Street in Overland Park (between Switzer and Antioch Rds). I imagine that is about 20-somethin miles.

Hartford about 20 miles out...you can see it easily from about 45-50 down in the New Haven area at one of the parks up on the bluffs.

This is not an aerial pic, but from a home on a hillside.

It's too mountainous/smoggy/hazy on most days to see LA. But, there is a ski resort in the mountains in San Bernardino county ~50 miles away where on a clear day you can see downtown LA. But other than that rare instance, there really just isn't any good line of sight with exception to the Getty Center, Griffith Observatory or some hills in Orange county.

Also, San Francisco can be seen from many vantage points. And rumor has it you can see that damn Sutro Tower from Japan.
