To be honest i wanted to put all of em in 3rd tier and not even mention a ''4rth tier'' because Atl Sav Mac Aug Colum all should be 1st tier but everone always say atl is in a league of its own but i think they get the point: Atlanta and the other major cities in Georgia are 1st tier as in their all major hubs for their areas

In other words you mean the top ones outside of ATL, Augusta, Columbus, Savannah and Macon? You have to mention Athens, Valdosta, and Warner Robins before those towns like Tifton, Dublin, Lagrange and Milledgeville.

Tier 3:

Warner Robins, Valdosta, Rome and Dalton. Athens is borderline tier 2.

Atlanta is in tier 1 alone and that's the easiest call to make when it comes to cities in the state of Georgia.

Do you really think that Savannah, Columbus, Augusta and Macon are in the same tier?

CSW has indicated the 4 Georgia tiers as they're understood by GA demographers, business journals and economics magazines for some time now. First tier: ATL. Second tier: AUG, SAV, COL, MAC and probably ATH. Third tier: ALB, WR, GSV, VAL, DLT. Fourth tier: The towns listed by the OP, plus BWK and HVL. The 4th tier deserves the number 4: these are overgrown country towns more than cities.

Brunswick's MSA has a population of over 100,000. It's hardly a country town.

To those 4th-tier country towns (just joshing, Decatur) we must certainly add one more: ROM.

Thanks for the private reminder about Rome, Newsboy. I was asleep at the wheel but you weren't.
