Someone once told me that the best thing about Augusta is that it is so close to everything else- the beach, the mountains, Atlanta all within 2 1/2 hours. Augusta is a nice place to be from and judging from the number of people who retire her, a nice place to die, literally and metaphorically.

Default south augusta is just fine

evans will become not a surburb like presently but the 5th largest city in georgia. Traffic will become awful not enough streets compared to augusta u can pick just as nice grovetown or north augusta. Also i would disagree with a couple of the ppl new houses in very nice areas along and past tobacco rd and Hephzibah are being sold for 100 to 300k very fast. These ppl are telling u to stay away from south augusta but columbia tags are found near the goshen area off 56 in south augusta all the time very nice area. Parts of west augusta are also nice wheeler rd, washington rd on the richmond, columbia county border, areas along walton way such as the hill. Augusta has the top 2 high schools in all of Georgia Davidson, & A.R. Johnson, plus we have alot of different christian, private, catholic, schools available so dont believe it augusta schools are just fine theres only 2 inner city high schools (laney & josey) ARC, Butler, Hephzibah, Crosscreek, Glenn Hills, and Westside are not excentlent compared to similar size metro areas.
