Somehow I doubt it.

Totally agree here. Many are in jail.

Lol... ugh...

"Are there no workhouses? Are there no prisons?"

Nothing has been learned in centuries, and there but the grace of God goes anyone, no matter how much you hate the poor. The lack of empathy and humanity is sad.

Especially that of the people that have sex and have no concern for its consequences.

There are plenty of other justified situations, other than that, that deserve more empathy and humanity.

Lol, yes, because that's the only reason people are poor... right... Gotta keep the BS "it's all their fault" narrative going. And what of their kids? Right-wingers hate them, too, which is absurd since they don't even have a choice of being born into poverty.

Each and everyone one of the spiteful extremists raging on this thread about the poor needs to remember that were it not for a twist of luck, they'd have ended up in the same situation. And, unless you're independently wealthy, it could STILL happen to you. Everyone is just one horrible medical expense or long-term unemployment away from poverty in some form, so at least try to show some empathy.

Yes & No.

While the sticker price has increased dramatically, almost no one pays the sticker price. Everyone receives a discount off the sticker price of academia. It is really all about the next cost, not the sticker price.

Why did she choose to have children out of wedlock? You forgot to factor in the child support from the father. It appears her 2 children are living proof she has poor impulse control, poor decision making skills, and even worse judgment. Yeah, those are the qualities of a good future employee.

Indeed. But why didn't they abstain?

No one said anyone "hated" anyone; typical emotional response.

As I said in my original post, workfare would help EVERYONE, including the poor themselves.
