Make the government smaller and move from socialism to capitalism. Also start charging high fees for abortions. If that happened, women would not be able to have the state as their backup plan for their bad boy flings and seek out only good potential father figures to have babies with. Preferably in combination with marriage. Just like it was in the 50s.

Protests carried out at lunch counters, in the restaurant where blacks were denied service, probably during lunch hour. See protesting in a place and time relevant to what is being protested. I think you are starting to understand.
And yes free speech zones so to speak or venues where your voice and purpose are heard. People are saying these knee protests are NOT directed at America, or the NA or what they represent. They arent about football. So why protest whatever they are protesting, police brutality?, discrimination?, oppression?????, in that particular place at that particular time?
Because that's the platform they have that is most visible. Where on earth do people get "Attacking America" from???
Colin was protesting to call attention to the injustice that continues to plague black people at the hands of the police. Asking for reforms, is hardly an attack on anyone.
NOW they are protesting a president who just had to call Colin out a year later when he doesn't even play anymore, to deflect attention from whatever his crime family was doing at the time. That's why the owners and so many more players got in on it, to show they are united and won't let intimidation or attacks go unanswered. No one even took a knee till he opened his big yap yet again. He loves this, dropping a bomb and watching us attack each other. He IMO couldn't care less about the flag or the country, but he knows it's red meat for his base.

Maybe that is what they are trying to convey? That they have accepted that they will forever be under the white mans boot?
That sounds silly to me there is enough room in our society for everyone to prosper as long as they do not step outside the boundaries of our laws.

They haven't tried this yet but imagine when a touchdown is scored all the black players rush to the end zone for a "die in" and they lay on the ground while others stand around with their hands up (don't shoot)...
Better would be for a single black fist raised to heaven that would signify that despite the barriers that white America puts up for minorities this one man will persevere using his talent and intelligence to rise above the adversity.
I like another posters idea of a group of players go before Congress to talk about the problems their people face either real or perceived.
They need a clear cut message with well spoken leaders to drive home their points.
They have lots of money why don't they make a 30 second commercial to be aired during the games?
The NFL might actually help them pay for it.
Colin met with a veteran who wrote to him last year to express that he felt standing was disrespectful. The veteran told him kneeling in his view would not be disrespectful because it was a position of prayer and contemplation (not submission, that would be BOTH knees, helloo). So after the discussion Colin changed his protest from standing to taking a knee.
Which third world country specifically? They all have different systems. We are not talking about explosive breeding here, we are talking about single mother households.
The country in the world with the largest amount of singe mother households is Sweden. This is also perhaps the most socialistic country in the world and definitely the most feministic.
Single mother households in the black community was less than 20% in the 50s. So in some ways it has definitely gotten worse now.
I'm talking about your simplistic solution to the problem you described earlier.
You're talking about single mothers, I'm talking about poverty and quality of life. That should be the main focus. Compared to the 50's there is a drop in the percentage of blacks who are living in poverty. There is a drop in the fertility rate and infant immortality rate.
By your standards, Sweden is worse off than India simply because it has a higher amount of single mothers.
Because what they're saying is that symbols like the flag and the anthem are about long-standing principles as stated in our founding documents, and those principles are not being applied equally across all stratas of the population. Therefore, if you play the anthem and wave the flag, the you are making the venue about politics, and so be it.
So they are protesting our nation for which these symbols stand, our continued sovereignty, our constitution.
I stand for the anthem but as we have seen there have been many NFL players who are taking knees in protest which in turn is causing many fans to tear up their tickets, burn their team memorabilia and boycott the games.
The black players are protesting because they think that America is letting them down. They don't like Trump and they don't like Police using deadly force on their own despite that they are generally caught in the act of committing crimes when the Police come down on them.
I think their protest is justified to a point but the way they have decided to go about is misguided and they are literally biting the hand that feeds them.
To the fans that are now turning their backs on the NFL in a form of protest their stance is also a bit misguided.
Black people have been battling with negative stereotypes for decades but they have still made huge strides in America. There is still a long way to go and they need to work on their own people to assist.
The kneeling players are calling attention to the black persons plight in our society. I don't like how they seem to be attacking America but I will continue to wear my Patriots gear and root for the home team.
For the fans that are dumping the NFL I can't help but feel that they are ignoring the problems or they are complacent with the black persons plight and Ok with it which I think is a form of old time Racism.

Is it racism to ignore what is going on against the black community and the fans turning their backs on the game is somehow perpetuating a racist stance that in a way keeps the black man down? "Or" are the fans making a stand for America by forming their own protests and boycotting ?
A football game is not the time or the place for this BS. Totally cracks in me up, the black players who make more money than GOD himself complaining about racism. They think just because they are athletes they can do whatever they want. AND kids look up to them, sadly.
Notice how all of this wasn't happening with Obama in office?
But hey, these self centered morons think everything is about them and their cause, the rest of the world be damned. They are calling attention to the fact that they think THEIR cause is more important than all of the service men and women and the very heart of America which is represented by our flag and our national anthem.

Hope the NFL folds - no one I know is watching any games this season. My thought: if you want to disrespect our flag and our anthem and our country, I invite you to pack up and move somewhere else.
