That's great but it still doesn't mean much and misses the point of the post I quoted.

Loose gun laws still haven't stop states like Louisiana and Mississippi from leading the nation in firearm homicides.

Besides 10% isn't close to everyone packing heat. So let's accept two facts.

1. No guns will be banned and most likely not regulated.

2. Even if allowed most people will still not want to carry guns around in public.

Wink I blame the climate, and the limited access to real maple syrup.

Just because a right is only exercised by 10% of the adult population, doesn't make it less of a right.

Hmmm... almost like there are other factors which drive the problem, not firearms... I blame the climate.

Looking at your graphic (which I think is silly for it's focus on "Murder-by-Firearm" rates, to the exclusion of states with even lower rape and beating-to-death rates), maybe climate is a valid theory

I never said it wasn't. I distinctly said that just because the right exist doesn't mean it will be exercised.

Nope. Pressure cookers aren't classified as weapons. If I were in a fight, I'd prefer to have a gun. THAT is why we're more concerned about military grade weapons.

I find it hard to believe these kids can speak so eloquently and represent themselves so well in public. No gafs, no embarrassment, blushing, they're so professional. I mean I watched many of the Olympic athletes blush and stammer and hem and haw when they were put on the spot. I mean they go from unknowns to these spotless performances. They're too well trained.

Anyone else notice they talk about their fellow students as 'children?' Their fellow students from their high school that is, are identified by them as 'children.' What 17 year old considers himself a child? All that right there tells me these students are props. Highly coached ones.

If you have no idea what I'm talking about:
https://www.vox.com/policy-and-polit...and-david-hogg

"Please. We are the children. You guys are like the adults."

When I was 17, I considered myself a young adult.

You mean like military-grade bolt action rifles, and military-grade lever action rifles, and military-grade pump action shotguns, and military-grade revolvers?

Um.. all states are. Some have more restrictions than others. That's the whole point of the article.
