A woman isn't a car.

Neither. I don't care about 'winning' and I don't care about changing minds, per se. What I care about in a debate is getting someone to see my point of view--that does not mean agree with me. It just means respect my position as I would theirs.

I think 'winning' is when nobody can overcome your argument. And that usually means you've changed some minds, even though they've not been willing to admit it. My number of responses tells me I'm definitely changing some minds.

I'm pretty sure it's because we find your lack of logic amusing, not because your changing minds.

That's what'd going on.
No, you don't have a clue what's going on, or what you are talking about in a thread you started, ie,
"Which is more important? Winning debates or changing minds?" That was the topic, you can't even stick to it, so in collegiate standards, you have lost on points and merit, logic points, fuhget about it, the rest of whatever you have started rambling on about just to try and glorify the atmosphere with the sound of your own words, no one but you is on that topic.
You have NOT changed anybody's mind, hell, you probably couldn't change a dirty diaper with your debate skills.

Whenever you take your meds, recover from your last episode of grandiose delusions and the voices inside your head subside, you can remember what the topic is, realize you lost site of it, admit defeat, maybe people on this forum will take you seriously, until then, we all bid you, Valium and lithium away!!

Responses don't mean you've changed minds. It just means people are interested in the topics.

I can come away with a different point of view from a debate and still not agree with it--but at least I can see it from the other person's perspective and appreciate where they're coming from. That's when both people win and that makes for a good debate finale.
