I say ban the suckers!

"I think that smoking is icky, so nobody should be allowed to do it!"

Nobody's "forcing" you to smoke.

Let's look at the two situations you've posted in this thread. In one, you voluntarily moved into a house with eight smokers. Did someone put a gun to your head? Did the government threaten to jail you if you didn't? In the other, you were irritated by someone that was smoking - while voluntarily playing at a craps table - and you assaulted them, leading to your being banned from the casino. Then you blame the guy you assaulted for your attack against them...

You have some serious issues. Really. I suggest you seek counseling before you start beating your spouse - because "she made you do it."
Another inconsiderate smoker, so you will side with them. There is a different between a considerate smoker, and an inconsiderate one such as yourself. I never have any problems with considerate smokers. That incident was a one time situation because the guy was an inconsiderate low life piece of sh%#! I did not assault him. Give me a break, you're a guy and you consider having a rum and coke poured on you assault?? Give me a break. If I assaulted him I would have been arrested in put in jail. The jerk who was blowing the smoke in his face did way worse to me than I did to him.

I don't smoke.

I don't like cigarette smoke, particularly where I eat. Smoking in a restaurant is the equivalent of talking at the top of your lungs at a concert or a play. Since smell and taste are linked, it ruins the experience for others.

I think people who willingly suck cancer-causing chemicals into their lungs are perfect idiots.

That being said, it is not the government's business what I do in my own car or my own home.

Yeah, why don't you post the whole story. Obama has admitted he has a problem with smoking himself, BUT he is against it completely. He is also the one who got the cigarette tax raised.

You don't get it. Republicans are the ones who always say they do not want government in their lives. It is mostly Republicans who are against smoking bans. Look it up if you do not believe me. I know this for a fact because my dad was a Republican. He was always against smoking bans, even AFTER he had quit for years.
