THAT.

plus, you don't ever see people detoxing off marijuana, but more from alcohol, and other illegal drugs like heroin and meth. and more people trying to come off benzos and opiates in prescription meds, which are becoming more common.

Unfoturnately when you give the facts they turn a blind eye. People that want marijuana to stay illegal have bought too much in to the propaganda that they were fed ("Reefer Madness"). Nevermind that there are WAY more uses (as I have stated numerous times) than just as an intoxicant! But hey, lets just keep wasting tax payers money on the so called war on drugs, and medicating people on those LEGAL prescription synthesized opiates!

Its all very simple: Freedom in a country the purportedly stands for liberty for all. Lets have a go at it.

You could grow your own. I agree with the poster that it is a governmental money thing. It will probably be legalized when and if the government gets laws in place to make their $$$$.

People only get cirrhosis of the liver when they abuse alcohol (drink everyday). I have seen people get DT's when they run out of pot.

Just because no one has supposedly died from marijuana they really can't determine if that lung cancer was caused by tobacco or marijuana smoke. How many people do you know that died from a tobacco overdose?

Marijuana is an illegal drug so shouldn't it be put into that category?

Recent studies suggest marijuana does not increase cancer risks and may actually help fight cancer.

But regardless of that, you don't have to smoke it to ingest it. Go ahead, try to find something harmful about eating marijuana. It's safer than refined sugar.

Alcohol is more dangerous so shouldn't it be put in that category FIRST?

The hypocrisy.
