I think many people would be surprised at how many straight people are involved with the 'over the top' parades. I've been in a few and I'm a very straight female. Dressing crazy, drag shows and dirty stand up comedians??? Count me in!

This is my major complaint about California and homosexuals. The government here spends huge amounts of time, effort, and money dealing with their political agenda. California has major problems and the politicians and government needs to deal with that before dealing with the relatively meaninglessness of Gay Day.
The schools here mostly suck and are violent and dangerous, the traffic is a nightmare, taxes are high. Yet the politics here waste their time with things like gay marriage, and Gay Day, recognizing homosexuals, etc. I think all that can wait.

Definitely! The relationship between equality and economy has been proven to be inverse, right?
