It should be decriminalized. This is a personal choice that really effects no one. The enforcement of these archaic laws are a waste of money and rime.
Law enforcement has better things to do.

If this is the worst that happens where we have a home, thats ok. It was a small amount.
Personally I have had experience with cancer and major depression and pot works for both. An amount for personal use is ok with me.
I agree. I don't know why we're still having this conversation. I smoked my share of weed in the late 70's. I no longer partake. But when I retire I'd like to be able to kick back once and awhile. I think it would knock down my drive and motivation while I'm working.
40 Plus years since the 60's and it's STILL not legal nationally. I just don't see how it's worse than alcohol..
I agree, better than a lot of the other things out there, though I have no current friends or acquaintances who use it. I'm going on 56, and smoked quite a bit in the 70's, then mostly only other peoples' in the 80's if I happened to be in a social situation which included it, but then virtually zero in the last 25 years.
It would be great, as you say, to kick back once in a blue moon as we get older and catch a buzz, and not be breaking the law.
