If it's a two cycle, it's NOT eco-friendly.

Many states are banning 2 cycle engines and won't allow the sale of common two cycle machines such as outboard engines and leaf blowers.

In the late 50's and early 60's I had one and went everyhwere on it. Buit i really doubt they would be very safe in today heavier traffic and much more unsfe drivers . Not much stopping power or protection on one.

Motorcycles and scooters are not safe, just remember you are INVISIBLE and IF THEY COULD SEE YOU THEY WOULD BE OUT TO GET YOU. A very good sense of paranoia will keep you from having any of those stories about motorcycle/car accidents with you on the wrong end of the stick. Even if it isn't your fault, you will still be the one either horribly injured or dead.

Take a safety course, drive so they can see you in their mirrors, expect them to do whatever is possibly the most stupid and dangerous move they could do and always be paranoid. Always drive in the wheel tracks in the road, not in the center where all the oil from the car engines falls. It is much slicker there and if anything falls off a car such as a muffler, it will most likely be in the center of the road where the cars can straddle it and you get to run over it and go flying off. Leave a lot of room between you and the car in front so you can see things on the road that they drove over. Be sensible, be safe and always wear your helmet.

You obviously live somewhere that there are towns close together, not much snow, good roads, and you never have to haul anything very big anywhere.

I'd like yo see you in your Prius or whatever out here where towns are 30-60 miles apart, in 40+" of snow on a gravel road, 5 miles from the closest farm with a sick calf in the your backseat.

Pickups & SUVs have their place, tho I will agree there's no reason for owning one if you live in a large city unless it's needed to haul your boat & trailer or snowmobiles around.

Seriously - we have a Honda Helix. It is automatic, you will love it. 2 passengers comfortably, it will do 65 and it has two little storage trunk areas on the sides. Just remember to wear a helmet all the time. And watch out for the "cagers".
