My husbands has a job tranfer to Highpoint. What would be a nice, safe area to rent a house near shopping and dining? Is it better to live in Greensboro or Winston-Salem and commute?

If by that you mean being able to walk to shopping & dining like a downtown area, forget it, you pretty much have to drive everywhere in High Point.
