Why does the Greensboro-WS-HP area have such a low growth rate compared to Charlotte and Raleigh?
From what I can see it looks just as nice as the other two.
Job opportunities are simply more plentiful in Charlotte and the Triangle. Charlotte has a large banking sector and is a sizable business center overall, and the Triangle is home to the nation's largest research park.
Please; take some of the growth from the Triangle area!
I grew up and still live in the Triangle area and it's definitely a nice area with a robust economy and I see why many people want to live here; but the growth has some pretty serious negative side effects as well. Often over-looked is how transient it makes this area. Sure everything is new and "polished" but there's not a lot of character around here outside of the downtown areas of Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill.
Even High Point has a little more "umph" to it; with regards to having it's own unique identity, than most of the Triangle.
