It's official. Sprouts Market will open in Greensboro on Battleground Ave. Charlotte, Raleigh and Durham already have a location.

I was just by there this week. The place is gutted. I'm looking forward to the opening.

Edited for greater accuracy.

Anyway, Sprouts is a pretty decent store.

I can't wait for Sprouts to open. A lot going on in that shopping center now. I really enjoy Vitality Bowls, and I'm excited for Thai Square to open.

I think it gives people another option over Whole Foods. I can't wait either.

I just got a piece framed at Artisan Art and Frame shop there and I'm so happy with it. Great place.

There is one in Winston-Salem. Trader Joe's had planned to open a store in Greensboro next to Friendly Shopping Center but neighbors strongly opposed more retail. They sent out a nasty email to Trader Joe's and they backed out. Since then Trader Joe's has not said anything about opening a Greensboro location. The land had gone through the hands of two developers who backed out of putting retail on the land. Currently its owned by developer Roy Carroll who is planning something for the site. Hopefully Trader Joe's will reconsider.

How expensive are groceries at Sprouts versus a Whole Foods or Trader Joes?
