I guess because I lived in China for 6 years it's hard for me to notice a large amount of trash on the side of the roads in the city. And, while the crime rate is worrying, It seems to be isolated to parts of the city. About every area I frequent have been safe and will continue to be safe going forward.

How do you know that? Can any city or area say that safety is guaranteed? Even the safest of cities cannot make such claims. More spin in an attempt to convince people there's nothing to see here.
Clean compared to China. How reassuring. Every major U.S. city has at least SOME safe areas. Closer to home, how much of Greensboro do we want to be off limits due to issues of safety? Pockets of security is nothing to strive for. It's gotta start with the mayor. If she's not up to the job, then let's find another who is.

Not quite. It's the areas that aren't dangerous that are isolated. The most dangerous city in North Carolina is "worrying". D'ya think?
