Wow that definitely would be a game changer for that aera! It could really gentrify that aera and make it more appealing! Hopefully it will be done right with some more upscale stores. Just something that's not dollar general type !

Gentrification? Upscale stores? It's displacing a homeless camp.

Dollar stores are ubiquitous here for a very good reason. They suit a majority of the demographic.

If you look at the rendering on the top left you'll see a building that is not currently there which appears to be a hotel. Kind of big deal for this part of town which lacks hotels. I like the fact that this project also includes residential. I'm not sure about the configuration of the site which to me looks far too suburban. I would prefer an outdoor town center type layout.

I mean it's literally just some shopping centers and office buildings but this is in an area where you take what you can get.

True. In any other part of town this isn't a big deal. However this is east Greensboro which rarely sees any type of retail or office development. The completion of the loop could be a big factor.
