I'm needing to get a new cell phone for a new job and was wondering what people's opinions were on different carriers here? I will be needing a reletively large amount of minutes and a data plan for email. Also what are your thoughts on smartphones...with a qwerty keyboard?
Verizon by a long shot!! My husband and I have had every service possible and have now been with Verizon for 6 yrs we love them!! He also travels for work often and never drops a call!
I would have to agree with everyone else. I have been with T-mobile for approx. 7 years. Everything was fine until I relocated to the Triad. They assured me that the service would improve once the merger with Suncom was complete. That didn't happen.
Needless to say, I will be switching over to Verizon.
I would recommend Alltell. We have verizon and are unable to get signals out in the area we live. We have friends who have altell who come to our home and have absolutely no problems with service. Every time I use my phone (literally) I have a dropped call.
Verizon, definitely. You can't beat the CDMA coverage down here. AT&T has craploads of dropped calls so I wouldn't recommend it, Sprint has a very narrow coverage area, and T-Mobile lacks a decent 3G footprint. Verizon all the way!
I've tried them all except T-Mobile (tho that new Gphone is purty) and my vote goes with verizon- best coverage (And I use my phone A LOT as a realtor, so I gotta have coverage!), fewest dropped calls (at&t wouldn't pick up when I was in my house), and so far, best customer service. 4 years and counting.
