My DH and I are going to the RV show at the Greensboro coliseum this weekend. He would love to find a Dunkin Donuts close by. We are not from the area so if anyone can point us in the right direction I would really appreciate it.

BTW, I will need directions from I-40. We will be heading east on I-40.

Thanks.

I took a quick look at the DD web site, and it looks like there are no locations convenient to the Coliseum. I think your best bet would be to stop at the Winston-Salem location on Peter's Creek Parkway on your way in. Just take exit 192 off of I-40, go to the top of the ramp, and Dunkin' Doughnuts is right in front of you.

Even better, go to Krispy Kreme instead!

Thank you both. I'll be heading down to W-S next week for a big shop at Costco at Exit 189 and can pick up some donuts to fortify myself for the 90 mile trip home.

Thank you. I cannot get into a debate of DD or KK. My DH and I are originally from NY and he "wants" DD. He's a good guy so he can get what he wants. Personally I like all donuts, lol.

Thanks we will try the one on exit 192. Sounds good.

Also, from I-40, you'll find one off of Exit 151 in Statesville.

It's simple - If you want a good glazed or anything with filling, then KK is the way to go. If you want a cake doughnut, then it's gotta be DD. To find locations, just go to their websites.

Not to be another "outsider", but I've never cared for either DD or KK, small local donut shops have always been the best for me. Outside of those, Shipley's in Houston is the BEST "chain" i've ever had. KK does have a unique glazed that I am occasionally in the mood for.

This just got me thinking I have lived here over 3 years and I am about 10 minutes away from that Dunkin Donuts on Peter's Creek and I still have never tried one! I have only been to a Krispy Creme one time and my friend literally forced me when she found out I never had one, especially not a "hot" one. Now, I have just discovered Ollie's bakery in Old Salem, that is a place to drive out of your way for. It was the best scone ever! Also, Moravian sugar cakes are pretty darn good. If you are in town, that is the stuff you have to try!!

Why doesn't Krispy Kreme have a more monumental presence in Winston? They should have some sort of tourist attraction to make it clear that WS is the home of KK.
