Can anyone give me a list of restaurants in downtown Greenville? I'm not a big fan of fastfood but beyond that I'm open to almost anything. I'll be staying on North Main Street. Thanks.

This website Greenville Restaurants - Greenville Dining Guide - Greenville Night Life has a search function if you scroll down a bit, and you can filter by area of town and/or type of cuisine. This should be fairly up to date, as it's from the Greenville CVB.

Good luck!

Also check out:

If you are staying downtown, I'd also suggest simply strolling Main Street on the first night here. Lovely street for strolling.....most all the restaurants have their menus posted at the entrance.

On North Main I would recommend Sassafras. Delicious food, reasonably priced and has a really nice atmosphere. it's quickly becoming one of our favorites.

Yes, this is an excellent link. I have been using it for a few years whenever I want to try something new.

Handi has an affordable and delicious all-you-can-eat Indian lunch buffet. Trio is always a good, very reasonably priced option as well. You should also try Luna Rosa while in town.

My favorites are High Cotton, Soby's, Lazy Goat, Mellow Mushroom, Smoke on the Water, and Carolina Ale House.

This guy was on a budget if I recall correctly so some of the higher end restaurants are out.

The Trappe Door may be a good option .... funky ... not a chain ... not too expensive.

I like the Smoke on the Water option as well. A little bit of the Greenville cafe society feel going on there.

That is exactly why I avoided recommending any of the high end options. Fortunately there are several affordable places in downtown as well.

For an affordable Southern meal in a Southern atmosphere, try Sticky Fingers. Along with the Trappe Door recommendation, try Nose Dive and/or The Velo Fellow. For a delicious deli lunch, try Two Chefs, Manna Deli, and/or Saffron's West End Café. Good breakfast options include Soby's On The Side and Mary Beth's.

By the way, all of the places mentioned so far in this thread are within walking distance from Lititzman2003's hotel.
