That must be Greer. The Wade Hampton Walmart in Taylors is Subway.

One of the restaurants I had hoped would come to our area a while back was Sweet Tomatoes Buffet, aka Souplantation in California. The restaurant was famous for offering unlimited salads and soups along with baked goods like pizza, cornbread, and muffins – not to mention some of the tastiest strawberry lemonade around. The closest one to us was Gwinnett GA.

I liked it, thought the food was good for the price and restaurant was always clean when I visited.

Sadly, due to new FDA suggested guidelines for buffets, the parent company, which owns 97 locations, is permanently closing.

Pretty sure we will see all buffet style restaurants close if that is their only business model. I would assume that any restaurant that offers any kind of buffet will have to get rid of that, ie: salad and pizza.

Golden Corral has huge brand awareness and loyalty. I think they will bounce back eventually, even if it takes a long time.

Maybe they could lower the glass and switch to cafeteria style with only servers behind the glass doing the serving.

JCPenney could file for bankruptcy next week. A quarter of the 850 stores could close.

Zoe's Kitchen website has been updated to show the Woodruff Road location reopening is set for 5/18. So still in business!

I'd say they're done. I don't have any info, but.. That's certainly not a good sign.

I'm not 100% sure they are closed for good but the Fatz in Easley was not open on Mother's Day or Mon/Tuesday when I called. Does anyone know how long Fatz will be closed? Any info? I love their Calabash Chicken.

I think that’s a franchise store that’s been up and down for a long time. We remember it when tony Paterson had it and back before.Notsure why but casual dining like Fatz and Ruby Tuesday are simply going away.
