Better gas mileage is only the beginning. Ethanol kills engines and shouldn't be used in small engines like lawn mowers, weed eaters, etc.
If you driving a early model vehicle... 15 plus yrs out, that may have some advantages. Agree with the lawn care equipment, as it sits unused for extended periods of time.

All newer vehicles are designed to run on different grades of fuel. Run the numbers on MPG verses the extra you pay for non-ethanol per gal. You'll be surprised.

Everyone can't afford a new car. I'm driving 98 and 99 models and don't think a new one is in the stars anytime soon.

By grade do you mean regular or premium? My car calls for premium so that is what I use. Ethanol is bad stuff. Read up on it. My car holds 15 gallons. I fill it up every other week, so it only costs me $6.00 a month extra for the non-ethanol. That is cheap insurance for my engine. I don't put junk in my engine (body). Why would I put junk in my car's engine?
Won't challenge your reply any further..but I'm completely aware of ethanol fuels and late model vehicle performance data, based on any given fuel grade used.
Woohoo! Still going down! $2.709 at Marathon on Wade Hampton near Elberta St., it was one penny higher last time I went by there on Fridayso the trend is sticking. Now, I was optimistic about gas going below $3 and even visualized it at $2.89 so this is a very happy surprise, hehehe!

It does not matter if outboards and lawn equipment sit or being ran. It will destroy the engine. It is a sorry excuse for fuel put on us by our government trying to raise corn prices.
I have 2005 and 2009 vehichles. The 20 cents per gallon I pay per week is paid back in milage and the knowledge I am taking care of my $20K+ rides.
At noon today, gas along Wade Hampton Blvd. was priced at $2.71. It is now 3:00 and the priced jumped to $2.84. The price of a barrel of oil is steady. What happened to make gas jump $0.13 in three hours?
