Reviving this thread, I'm curious about the Medicare Advantage Plans that serve the area. While I realize that the county you live in plays into such a question, I'm curious as to availability of physicians to newcomers to the area. . A good plan is not much use if the majority of practices are not accepting new patients, particularly if they are not accepting new older patients that didn't establish themselves prior to the retirement years.
Opps , just lost part of my post....so I'll rethink what I said. I don't have any overly-significant medical issues that require particular specialties at this time. Thinking more on quality of life on available medical care as well as true cost of relocation.
