Looks like some land is being cleared off Pleasantburg at 385, on the airport side. Anybody know what they are doing there?

It is kind of odd the lack of gas stations on that road so that is a good spot.

They're building new residential developments for all the NEW YORKERS rumored to be moving to the city.

Most will be coming from the outerboroughs of New York City.

Ain't that nice?

There are not many gas stations on North Pleasantburg Drive around I-385. Citgo is at Lowndes Hill Road. Speedway is up at East North Street. Two independents are at Edwards Road and Pine Knoll Drive.

I'm a loyal Spinx fan. Wasn't always, but really love their stores now. Also nice they are a local company we can support. They have a new mobile app, you can pay at the pump with. This is awesome! Works perfect too.

I'm seeing the QTs more though. They are coming into the area strong. How do they compare? They seem to offer some of the same services Spinx does... food and other for-sale items than just your typical gas station. Looks clean too, like Spinx. Haven't tried yet though.

QT's have the fastest cashiers, they crank people out.

If you go to the one on Woodruff road at Verdae road, there is a cashier there who I think might be autistic but he is like a machine. He says the same thing over and over, never varies it "thank you and have a good day".

I like Spinx for its hot food, available in newer locations. My dislike of Spinx is the dual cash/credit pricing, a very expensive program to maintain. Price spreads are also wider between regular, plus and premium unleaded. QuikTrip has the advantage of single pricing and narrower price spreads, a major plus.

Exactly why I never stop at a Spinx.

Have any of the Hickory Points been remodeled to 7-11 yet? I haven't seen one. Maybe they don't have it in the budget until 2014.
