Spartanburg County is scheduled to have a sewer line bore up under I85 to the South bound side I85 to BPS. On the lower end. As far as 101/I85 on the northside bound side. The corner property had an agreement drawn up to tap onto the sewer which was QT. They had sewer ran up from Abmner Creek. The man hole is located in front of QT. It is deep enough to bore up under 101 for the sole purpose to feed the corner property. It has easement right from the neighboring land owners.
Since the acquisition Bass Pro Shops and Cabela's are now using combined branding and marketing. And they may be consolidating inventories somewhat. So I am still not sure they want 2 huge stores in such close proximity. Although they do have 2 big stores in the Charlotte area, so who knows.

The Cabela's in Magnolia Park is not considered one of their "big" stores. It's considered one of their "small market" stores with lower square footage. I think the demographics and spread out population of this area would support a BPS and Cabela's.

It's not that small. It's around 100,000 sq. ft. The newer Augusta Ga. Cabela's is around 40,000 sq. ft. I believe in comparison. They only planned 120.000 for that Spartanburg BPS store according to that article so that's not much difference from the Woodruff Rd store.

A 100,000 sq ft store is a decent sized store, but compared with Cabela's larger stores, 100,000 sq ft isn't all that big.
Cabela's has a store in PA with an in house restaurant, a large chocolate fountain, live fish exhibits, etc.

Yes. Some of those original flagship stores were huge But my point is they were building some much smaller stores after the Greenville store and the difference with what they have on Woodruff and the planned BPS store in Spartanburg wasn't much. I just don't see it happening especially with online shopping many major retailers are shrinking the size of their stores these days or reducing store count all together. Time will tell. They could eventually build a much smaller store in Spartanburg but you have to wonder if they will continue to reduce overhead and merge the two under one name.
Has anyone here what will built at the corner I85/101.? I have heard a 7-11 and PopEyes.
