I am relocating to Greenville, SC for work and I was wondering where the safest / best places for me to live were. A lot of the listings I find are for families. However, I am a single 21 year old. I was wondering if anyone had any good apartment / rental suggestions for Greenville, or any of the outer cities. (?)
Any of the apartment complexes around Woodruff Road will be safe enough. Paddock Club is a decent older one with gated access. The Fairview Road area of Simpsonville has several nice apartments. I recommend Jasmine Cove in this area which has a security gate. There are 3 nice ones off The Parkway with a Greer address, one is called Thornblade Park.
There are numerous ones in the Haywood Road area but are not quite as safe and more car break ins. Beacon Ridge and THe Perserve at Woods Lake are good ones in this area near the mall. You'll be closer to downtown Greenville in this area if that is important to you.
Years ago I lived at 660 Halton (It was called Halton Place Apartments then) - and while I can't comment on what they rent for these days, they were very safe and a lot of young single women lived there. They were convenient to downtown too..
I-85, I-185 & I-385 G'ville thoroughfares.
You'll find many choices of apts in your budget along these routes; including gated properties.
I do not recall any apartment communities along the Interstate 185 corridor. I know exits along the Interstate 385 corridor have communities within 1 or 2 miles.
