They have been moving/digging into those mounds of dirt for over a year now. They must be selling or giving it away to other local projects.

Kind of always hoped Publix would relocate their store from across the street to a new larger store on that property like they built in Simpsonville.
Publix #576, University Square, 5000 Old Buncombe Road, Greenville, South Carolina 29617-8208, could expand easily, relocate it pharmacy, and add a pharmacy drive thru.

They already relocated their pharmacy to the right side entrance a couple of years ago. They should have acquired and expanded into the vacant space on the left side end of the building(I believe it was a former video store) , left the pharmacy on that side and added the drive thru. They missed out on a good opportunity to do that.

Publix #576 opened in 1996 without a pharmacy. The pharmacy opened in 2007. I do not know when the pharmacy relocated in the store. If Publix Super Markets has an opportunity to expand Publix #576, it could do that.

True, but activity is picking up. I drive by it everyday.

But you are right, could just be selling fill.

Yes it has picked up last couple of weeks. I wondered if they are using it at the housing development a little further down Poinsett next to the pond or one of the DT developments like Northpointe or Camperdown.

This lot was just graded again. Hopefully they are about to start construction unless it has changed hands.
