As someone who just moved to the area, I don't see Anderson as separate from the Greenville area in a general sense. That is why I asked if it was okay to post here. I do realize that in general there are very few posters from Anderson here (meaning on city-data).

I used to live in Seneca and work in Anderson - I would never post questions in the general SC forum - Anderson/Oconee Counties are intimately connected to the Upstate/Greenville (perhaps not so much to Spartanburg)

Oconee County is in neither the Greenville area nor the Spartanburg area. It is usually covered in the South Carolina forum.

CK, I appreciate your comments on C-D but I disagree with you that questions re Oconee County should be addressed in the general SC forum (my opinion only).

Please understand that I have lived/worked in both Anderson and Oconee Counties for a number of years.

(Additionally, CK what is your location/where do you live?)

Lets start a petition to rename the G/S forum to the upstate forum, and take a poll on which counties should be included. Heck, I live in Laurens County, but Im closer to Greenville and Spartanburg than I am to Laurens. In fact I have both county lines within 4 miles of me. I know a good number of people in Laurens County go to Gville and Spartanburg, vs Laurens, or even Greenwood for that matter.

Anderson County and the city of Anderson are much closer to Greenville and Spartanburg than they are to Orangeburg, Florence, Hilton Head, Aiken, and most of the other cities that are topics in the general SC forum.

It is okay to post here. One poster may suggest to also post in the general SC forum but you will honestly get more responses about Anderson in this forum. I wish we could get this forum re-labeled as "Upstate SC" but city data seems to prefer the current format.

The South Carolina forum covers cities that are not covered by the South Carolina sub-fora.

I hate to say there are geographically challenged members who think Aiken and Hilton Head Island are in Georgia.

It is okay to post Anderson related threads in the South Carolina forum, which is where they belong. There are geographically challenged members who think Anderson is in Greenville or in Spartanburg.
