That may be true but when I went there a couple months ago, everything had percentage signs off and they weren't stocking new movies and electronics/appliances.

I think it's time is sooner. Probably when it's lease is up. Does anyone know the year it opened?

Kmart used to be a big deal before Walmart came along and took all their business. I am not sure how much longer Kmart will hang in there. In addition to the Mauldin location, I also question the long term future of the store across from the hospital.

There is no long term future.I was in Kmart plaza today. There is no way that store will not close soon. Its a bombed out shambles, even by Kmart standards. The associates had on t shirts declaring that Kmart was "the one stop shop for zombe apocalypse preparation" It looked liked the zombe apocalypse had already come!

Kmart's failure is their own fault.

I drove by Kmart Plaza today. Kmart #4016 had vehicles in its parking lot. BI-LO #5016 had no vehicles in its parking lot.

No vehicles in a Bilo parking lot doesn't tell you anything other than it is a Bilo!
