I doubt it. It may have been the other way around. Who knows? And since when can't conservatives and far left Democrats do things together?

Honestly I think obama will destroy this country, from his abortion stance to taxes, he is not going to make America a better place. Greenville is getting more liberal, because more and more liberal northerners are moving down here (chicago, ny, ohio, etc.) but it will probably never vote for a democrate president.

BO's not from Greenville and we have a P & C forum for this very topic already:

Wow! I can't believe you just made such an ignorant off color post as this one. First off Obama isn't pro abortion but pro choice as am I. What this means is, what a person chooses to do in their private life is that persons business not mine. Its that woman's body. Now I have a question for you. How is abortion anymore wrong than murdering innocent women and children by way of war? Do you support that? If so you are a hypocrite. You not liking Obama has nothing to do with anything you just said right? You have another hidden agenda. He will do well and has my support.

I just can't believe that enough people fed into the OP's thread to fill 8 pages. His obvious intent was to start an argument.

My opinions are nobody else's business, but I will say this:

Thinking the current President will be able to change anything more than public perception is just as ridiculous as thinking the former President was solely responsible for the current state of our country. (that statement would hold true whether Obama or McCain was headed to the oval office this morning)

The funny thing about that statement is the fact that our economy won't turn around until public perception changes, but it is ridiculous to think that the President holds this power to make decisions without anyone else's input.

You are right, my bad. Ethnicity. Art, whatever way you want to slice it the 2000 election came down to lawyer games and the judicial branches of FL and US becoming embroiled in it. The people voted, the other party did not like the outcome, a current version of that going on in Minnesota right now. Let's not play semantics or this will go on ad infinitum.
MotonE, it is certainly your right to be pro-choice, but please don't ask all the other taxpayers to fund it through federal or state tax dollars. There should be a check box on your tax return form whether you want to donate your own money to that cause. See, then it would truly be a choice!
Art, the new POTUS does not blind me with a white hot light of intelligence as he does for you. Dr. Phil has been talking and speaking for 2 years non-stop and also written books but I would not hire him for the office of President. Our current President has been professionally marketed, packaged and sold to the American people. Don't forget the prevelant saying...50% of the population work for a living and 50% of the population vote for a living! Can I ask why your school records are sealed...you're not hiding something are you?

Pro choice is just a politically correct way of say pro-murder. No human being has any right to decide whether another INOCCENT human being dies. If you honestly believe that killing people in a nation you are fighting is the samething as abortion than there is no point in debating. Killing a baby that is your own flesh and blood, is nothing like people dying in the process of defending your country.

So the only time there is a point in debating is if we agree with you? That's a novel approach....

With all due respect, you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. You just elected a human Hallmark Card. Congrats. The sad thing is, if his policies do go forth, he will utterly destroy this great country as we know it.
