Small variety of bargain beer with a smattering of nice craft beers on tap (probably local breweries) and a few signature cocktails. Velo Fellow is the closest we have to this right off main street anywhere, but I'd love to see another.
I'm blanking on the name (I want to say it was some kind of fishing pun), but did you ever go to that bar that was beneath Subway's original location downtown? It's probably been gone for the better part of a decade now, but I think it would've fit your bill almost to the letter.

Unfortunately that doesn't sound familiar to me; it may have closed before I moved here (8ish years ago) or I just missed it while it was still open.

Was that "Wings Down Under" at some point? Dive Bar, loved it.

QuikTrip is reportedly looking at the northwest or the southeast corner of South Academy Street and North Markley Street for an additional store.

Does anyone know what is going beside KFC on 123 in Easley? It was a gas station.

The QT has now claimed a 3Rd area gas station. The Sav a Ton across from the speedway is now closed.
