Perhaps you missed this post in the restaurants/stores that the Upstate is lacking thread:
Apparently there's 2 in Columbia. Smashburger, BJ's and now Blaze Pizza, that's three state firsts in Columbia instead of Greenville.
I know it took them forever to get certain retailers like Whole Foods and Costco long after Greenville. I think Greenville even got Whole Foods several years before the Charlotte area got one.
I don't think anyone has posted this place, BIG BEN'S DESSERTS! . I've passed it a few times coming back from Spartanburg but just looked it up. If desserts are your thing, this may be the place to go check out!

For the person who rep'd me, thanks. But your msg about Big Ben's Desserts not being in Greenville...never said it was. If you look at the forum, it cover's the Greenville/Spartanburg area and the thread cover's this area, which Big Ben's is in.
That store is a downtown landmark - it's been there forever and I would be sad if it was no longer there.
Maybe update it?m?
Have been to Flying Biscuit in Atlanta - liked it more than any other biscuit place restaurant. But for just a biscuit I like Biscuitville. Why we don't have any here, I wonder.
