My family is relocating to the Greenville area this fall and I was wondering what the latest is with Griffin Park. I have seen several homes for sale online in this neighborhood, but the stories I've heard about it aren't good. If anyone could provide some info, it would be appreciated! Thanks!

The deal is that Griffin Park was a great idea, but in a bad location and during a bad time economically. Someone lost their shirt on this one, for sure. I haven't been by in a while, but last I heard it was overgrown and not cared for. I'm sure those who purchased homes there (and especially those who actually live there) are pretty mad at this point.

I drove by a few days ago. Still looks mostly the same as before sadly. At least they finally mowed the overgrown weeds. I would definitely avoid this development for the time being.

There's a few homes getting built there currently and it isn't stalled like Griffin Park.

A lot of Griffin Park went into foreclosure and the home and lots are up for sale. I would be very careful buying here.

There are a few local banks that have taken a big loss on that development. It will be years before Griffin Park is fully developed. In the mean time, one would be nuts to purchase a lot and build a house there. Having said that, if you were willing to gamble a little, the lots are cheap and builders are very hungry to stay busy. You could get a great deal right now.

Hi, I'm new to this forum and I'm in the process of relocating to Greenville/Simpsonville area. There are about 5 properties on the MLS from Griffin Park, but from afar, it's hard to determine what is going on there.

Does anyone have an update? Was the pool ever fixed? Is there any building going on there? I'd appreciate any information.

Thanks!

Stay away, far away from this development. Look at what is around it. As others have said, it was a good idea in the wrong place.
