Thanks everyone for your wonderful words. Wow, I hadn't read the board since my last post, I apologize. Yesterday was my birthday, did not receive a card, just spent the day in bed, Happy Birthday to me. I have decided I am not having any birthdays anymore.
Oh, Tam, your cat is handsome, what a looker. He will give you so much company. What would we do without our pets?

I know this sounds so strange but it is the truth. My garage door opens and closes on its own, four times thus far. It is quite scary. Weird things are happening on my computer. I hear the weirdest noises in my house. I heard a door slam last night. I almost wet the bed.

I have decided I am not ready to venture out and make friendships. It is too soon for me. I am more content being by myself. I do allot of reading. Sam's niece will be visiting in a month for a week and I can't wait, she is a up and happy person. Thank you all for being here for me. It is so appreciated.

Happy belated birthday, smilin!! I'm sorry you didn't get any cards. If you'd have told us, we would have bombarded you with lots of warm wishes! Keep having birthdays...it's a good thing.

You be careful! I know that we think our loved ones stay around, but they really don't want to scare us. Make sure all your doors and windows are locked. That's pretty scary....

Glad your niece will be visiting. That will be good for you. Hope you two have lots of girl time!

Wish you a belated birthday as well smilin

It shouldn't be an expensive item to have a cord coming down from your garage opener to turn off the electricity to the garage opener after you close the garage door. That would insure the door wouldn't raise and close while you were home. Home Depot may have the plugins already made up. Also I keep my car keys on my bed stand and if I hear an unfamiliar noise at night, I reach over and hit the panic button on my vehicle keys. The horn honking noise should scare away any intruders. Works for me in my rural area. Also makes any neighbors take notice.

Sorry your computer is a whole nother thread.

{{{HUGS...we will all begin to enjoy life together eventially}}}

Happy Belated B'day to you smilin'!

I'd take Bluff's advice and go to Home Depot and see if you can get that faulty garage door opener fixed. You don't need that stress.

Thanks everyone. Chopper needs me too. He was found when relatives of his owner finally went to check on him/her and found them dead with Chop being there. Chop has nightmares and I bet that is what the nightmares are about. No one knows how long his owner had been dead. At least no one did at the time and the pound has no clue. There's no way that did not traumatize Chopper. He's 8 years old too so was with the owner a long time. Mick was 8 when I adopted him too. I like giving older animals a last forever home although it breaks my heart when they go. I love to give them love.

He slept with me last night and the warmth of his body next to mine was wonderful. Mickey would never get up onto the bed. He had been trained not to and I could never get him to realize that was okay now. Chop was a "sleeping pill" to me last night.
