Thanks Marcy...The group was small this week and everyone showed up late. (Except me.)..I had a chance to do "one-on-one" with the counselor for awhile. She's so "down-to-earth." And she admits that she's still struggling with her own grief...Her parents and sister died within a short period of time and it turned her world upside down...Good that we find things to laugh about in the group. And it's okay to feel sad too.. I'll definitely go back next week and keep going as long as it feels "right."...The counselor and I "click" and we talked about getting together for lunch or coffee sometime. (As friends.)

Thanks...I might get together with 2 widows from the group later on too. They are neighbors and longtime friends and love to joke around...I'm just going to play it by ear. (For now.) I'm a loner by nature like you are so I don't want to "bite-off" more than I can "chew!"

Sorry the group didn't work out. I've often thought I should find a support group to help deal with the sad feelings associated w/ my Dad's death. It was over 25 years ago, yet I still feel the loss. I'm hoping it's never too late to get relief by going to a group.
I guess what I'm trying to say is, don't give up on the idea of finding a group that is right for you.
