Cyber hugs greatly accepted Tami.

Grandson came about 7 p.m. so we had a nice visit and watched the second making of "RED DAWN" on a DVD he brought.

I had spent the previous day picking up the house so it was clean for company. It will now be easier to keep clean again for awhile. All things happen for a reason it seems. LOL

I didn't hear from my Texas daughter either but I figure "no news is good news" in my case.

Still no funeral news on my #3 cousin. Maybe it is to be a private event. I am not pushing as I forgot to notify them when my wife died. Actually I was so "out of it all" that my daughters took care of all the wifes arranges and my daughters had never met the cousins. Oh well, it is what it is!!!

Thanks again fir the hugs lil sis.

I had a nice, quiet, peaceful day with the 'puter and tv and my animals. Didn't think much about it being Christmas and didn't get myself "blue". Nope, not one tear shed. This is good, IMO. Bought myself a present last week, a Citizen's eco drive watch. It's beautiful, looks like a Rolex but affordable.
That's how I spent my day as well, it was peacefully quiet, except of course for the TV. My gift to me was the red dress I bought to wear out dancing the night away the weekend before at a Christmas party. I received a nice message from my daughter saying, "Mom, you look nice, but you kind of look drunk in the pictures . I thought that was hilarious. Pic in my album. I guess I do look a little glassy eyed, I rarely ever drink, but I did toss one or two back at that party. All in all it's been a much easier holiday season to get through than I thought it might be. I must say, some of it is due to some of the great people I've encountered around these parts.

Anyway, Tami, I'm happy you spent it not feeling blue, that is so good to hear.

BluffD, good to hear you had a nice visit with the grandson.

Thank you all for being here for each other, it's been nice reading the contributions and replies.
