Good morning everyone!
Not sure how wise I am elston but have had to learn a lot about this subject in the last 3 years.
I had therapy yesterday and she had some good advise. She could see how stressed I am and told me I have to work hard on acceptance. She is right! I tell myself constantly to turn it over to God and let it go--an hour later I am worrying about the same thing. I am such a fighter and while that is a good things in some instances it is not right now. Now I have to accept things the way they are. Sure I can work on changing some things later but right now I am wearing myself down with this constant conflict that I am creating. So that is my homework.
I went to a friends house yesterday afternoon, one of the groomers from work, and helped her clean her bird cages. She has so many!! Her regular helper is having a baby anytime now so I'm just filling in for now.
I was terribly concerned about my brother and his family who just moved to Las Vegas a month ago and bought their first home. He is in the air force. They are fine but I feel badly for their teen age daughters and how frightened they must be. They are a good strong family so I'm sure they will be fine. My prayers go out to those involved in that horrible shooting!
Have a blessed day everyone.

I agree but it isn't an easy thing to do. It's something I must work on...another step forward!
Hope elko is doing well--he is so excited and so deserving!

cyn - you are such an amazing person. I love you for the type of person that you are. You go help your friend clean out her bird cages! Sounds simple on the surface, but that is what God likes to see. He likes to see people who think of other people and what they need. Fantastic! You're doing great, cyn. Just remember that God promises a paradise - not only in heaven, but on earth, too. Psalms 37:29 "The righteous will possess the earth, and they will live forever on it." Ecclesiastes 1:4 "The earth remains forever." Isaiah 25:8 "He will swallow up death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces."

Check this one out. Isaiah 65: 21,22 "They will build houses and live in them, and they will plant vineyards and eat their fruitage. They will not build for someone else to inhabit, nor will they plant for others to eat. For the days of my people will be like the days of a tree, and the work of their hands my chosen ones will enjoy to the full." Beautiful, beautiful, loving, kind future lies ahead. But you have to prepare and get in to Jehovah's ark now, while there is still time. Remember, they laughed at Noah as he preached righteousness to them. Look how that turned out for the naysayers.

I just have to say that I totally reject the spirit of the biblical quote you chose this morning.

That is the nice thing about this thread--we can agree to disagree and still care about each other. That's what makes this so unique! Love you all and hope you have a blessed day!

I didnt need to say that here and I am sorry for bringing controversy to the thread. Elko meant no harm and I wished I had just taken it in the spirit it was offered. We don't have to share the same beliefs.

That is so sweet elston. Thank you! Yes, elko has such a kind spirit and although not everyone has the same beliefs we can still appreciate the person!
