My wonderful neighbor came over and put up my new window shade yesterday to replace the old one that broke. Sure keeps this room warmer! He also helped me get a light in my well house but my well house is in bad condition and needs some work or to be replaced. I'm thinking just putting some insulation in it will work for now. It's still in the low 30's here--brrr.
Church today! Have a blessed day everyone.

Good Morning.

I just ordered plastic containers to take to a Thanksgiving potluck dinner at my Quaker Meeting. There are always leftovers, but people don't always have containers to take them home.

I am going to bring stuffing and a side dish: roasted butternut squash, brussel sprout with pecans and dried cherries with a maple syrup glaze. I will make them vegetarian-friendly, since we do have a number of vegetarians in the meeting. (I was going to make a bread and sausage stuffing....but will make it with mushrooms instead.....and it will be just as good. I might still make the sausage one.....too.

I do love Thanksgiving......probably my favorite holiday.

Good morning everyone! Just wanted to check in. Nothing new and exciting here. Still adjusting to the time change. I can't seem to get my sleep schedule on track. Our weather has been great, not too cold and not too hot. Still need some rain as our pond is getting low.

Hope everyone has a great week

Weather sounds great Molly! I know about the change time thing--ugh!
Well today I get the results from my MRI and I am very anxious. Oh well at least I will know what is going on!
Time to shower and then give my dogs one last walk before I take off.
Have a lovely day everyone!

As we suspected my arm is so separated in 2 places it can not be sewn back so it will have to be a replacement surgery. The only good news about that is the recovery time is only 2-4 weeks. The doctor said as long as I can handle the pain I can take as long as I want to work this out. It's not going to get worse except maybe arthritis will set in more. So I talked to my girlfriend in Colorado and we thought maybe after the holidays would be best so she can spend that time with her kids. At least I know now. Thanks for the good thoughts elston!

I think we all knew that would be the outcome.....now did the Dr. discuss workmans compensation or disability of any kind to get you over the weeks when you cant work?

My eldest son who has a physically active job....had to have extensive shoulder surgery.....and altho he said it was an ordeal.....he was able to return to his active life. PT was important post surgery.
