I suspect someone I knew has died but don't know where to find out. I live in Wisconsin. Maybe there is a webpage that has that info. I don't know anyone that knows him and I don't think he has any relatives.

I search the internet. Newspaper obituaries and funeral home obituaries, notices should come up.

Try legacy.com. They run obits from all over the country. Or Google the person's name with their state, such as "John Doe, obit, Anytown, State".

It all depends on if there is anyone to even put their obit in a newspaper. We recently lost a friend, but his family is out of state. We only knew he had died, but the family never posted any obit in either state.
I have searched many times for any information on the friend. All I can find is the public information, full name, age, location.
