My Ruger M77 Mark V Target rifle in the 308 Winchester caliber. I took it out to the range today, along with another rifle and tested a new load for it, and I liked the results.

Nosler Ballistic Tip 150-grain Boat Tail Bullets, 45 grains of IMR 4895, and Winchester Large Rifle primer, with a bulltet seating depth of 2.865". Despite the strong cross-wind conditions, I managed to get very good groups under 1" at 100 yards.

I've got one of the old Remingtom 788's in 22-250, I just rescoped all my rifles so soon I'll be out sighting them all in agian, i just picked up a Caldwell shooting stand to try also, I've always shot off bags, this thing looks like it will take more time to set up but it looks like it will work really well for sighting in. I was going to spend today reloading but ended up putting up decorations.

I also have a German Mauser, refurbished in the 22-250 Remington, with a stainless steel target barrel.

I love that caliber.

I'm not a re-loader and don't have much of a collection, but I am an enthusiast. I had a Marlin .22 bolt action had back in Indiana. Now, city life in Tampa keeps me with pistols only. Florida has a concealed carry permit that is honored in 32 other states.
I recently sold my S&W .38 airweight snubby for a Sig P239 .40 cal. I am now in love with Sig Sauer and can't wait to get my hands on a P226 Elite. I still have another .38 from my late grandfather, but that one never leaves the house.
I would recommend Blade Tech's tuckable IWB holster for anyone who's looking. It exceeded my expectations.

Most soldiers I have heard from say they like their M4,would rather have it than a AK.They maintain their weapon though.

Having fired both extensively I think the M16 is superior specially accuracy wise and better egronomics. The AK is sturdy and is accurate reasonably battle wise, but the M16 is a precision weapon.I like the AK too don't get me wrong,it certainly is robust and more adapt to taking abuse. It really probably means more about the guy using it than the weapon itself, thank goodness insurgents are not trained marksmen for the most part.
Why is the SM/FAL .308 rifle so under-rated? It seems like a rifle on par with the M-16/AR-15 and AK-47.

What do you guys recommend for a quality 357 revolver that isn't very expensive?

Taurus makes very good .357 magnum revolvers, and they're reasonably priced. Ruger Redhawk double action revolvers are also excellent for the money. A good stainless steel revolver will give you very good and reliable service for a long time.

I'll second Taurus for value. Other good .357 Magnums are the Ruger GP100 and the Smith & Wesson 586 & 686. The S&W 686 was my very first handgun, and I still have it. If you're interested in a "single action" revolver, like the cowboy guns of the old west, the Ruger Vaquero is an excellent gun.

I've heard a lot of good things about Ruger's revolvers, and have a couple of them myself. I would have to say they are well made and reasonably priced. The Taurus line is also very good from everything I've heard, and is generally more affordable than the Ruger products.
