own one, haven't had a chance to shoot it yet, but if it shoots half as well as the pt111 i had with over 3k rounds through it with ONE FTE, on the 3rd round of the first magazine, then it's a sure winner.
I bought it because I had the good experience with my pt111, and I wanted a 10+1 .45acp that was smaller than my g30, what I got was a 10+1 smaller than my g30, smaller but heavier than a g36, and CHEAP.... can be had for $329.00 if you search
I loved my g30 a little fat in the grip but not bad, a total gem of a gun but alas I sold it. I considered the pt145 for suitable knock around gun, take it to the range every now and than, maybe some HD duty along with the mossberg 500. The internal lock was always a deal breaker, does it detract from the guns operation, can it render the gun useless or jam it in anyway?what is the pt145 running for market price? how about +P ammo? The trigger is double action for the first shot only? its not a full on dao right?

Never had a problem with the frame lock on my pt111.
I paid $300.00 otd with a crappy trade in that I had no money in and wanted gone.
With the American shooters taste for sheer powwer, I do not understand why the 10mm didn't take off, and was neutered into the .40 Short and Weak. Apologies to the ,40 fans on here, but, I see no purpose for the cartridge. I guess it's a serviceable round, ye ol' in betweener as it were, I just don't see any noteworthy, history making gain in it's development as opposed to the 10mm. Of course , my handgun picks start at .357, ( smaller diameter, but tried and true) and stop at the .454 Cassul. Over the latter is TOO much and I do not care for the 9 mm at all. This is not to say that these rounds are pathetic weaklings or any other Cooperist dogma, and if one has weak hands, small stature etc, they are good picks and beat a baseball bat or 911 all to hell, yet, I still see the .40 as...well...an unsure compromise. I will hazard to say it probably beats the 9mm, sectional density and ballistic coefficient wise, and I would choose one over a 9 if the two were all that was to be had. The .357 Sig , IMHO, is a better idea in defensive tech, and I still think an SMG chambered thus and teamed with a Glock in the same chambering would be the ideal arm for CQB work for our Spec4 guys and SWAT in many cases as well. I do like a good idea, but the .40 SW just does not stack up for me.HMMMM, an MP5 style SMG that takes Glock mags teamed with a Glock in .357 Sig...357 Mag performance from auto loaders with top notch reliability....can ya hear me NOW Mr. bad guy

In nearly all law enforcement documented shooting on public record the 357 SIG brought the bad guy down each and every time with only one round fired. It's not like a straight wall caliber Glock really jams anyway! But....... a bottleneck (tapered) case is nearly imposable to get a FTF with. I would buy a 10mm subcompact glock if the ammo wasn't so price prohibitive. I can buy 100rds of WWB at wallyworld in .45acp for 31.97...
Both 10mm and .45 ACP are very-very accurate calibers. The first time I shot my G-20 and G-29, I was very impressed and my shooting buddies were too! My G-21 and G-30 are no slouch either! Both are tack drivers with the factory night sights!
I do like my G27, and I love my Delta Elite (180gn Double tap ammo is badass) but I usually end up carrying my M&P.40C
The funny thing is my G-33 and G-27 are just as accurate as their big brothers. The first time I shot my G-27 I couldn't believe it! The first time I shot my G-33 all the guys on the range stopped shooting! "WTF, was that"?LMAO........ The 357 SIG doesn't have a lot of recoil but it is very-very loud and has a huge muzzle blast and flash out of the G-33! My G-32 and G-31 are more mild. I would call it the equivalent to a snubnose .357 MAG with 125 grain JHP! If you can handle it's bark the bad guy won't like its bite!
