Hey all, native Californian here. Just spent another vacation in Hawai'i.

Have to say, I love you state. The best part are the locals, who are always so friendly, humble and helpful. It really is like nowhere else, the people here shine through. I love the fact that it feels like a paradise and has this interesting fusion of Asian cultures, while still being in the United States. Such a great state.

I'm going through some withdrawal right now. I think it would be awesome to live in Hawai'i someday. Just wanted to say thanks again for making your state such a great place to visit, and for making all the tourists always feel welcome!

Fellow Californian here too. Great post. I definetely feel you on Hawaii withdrawl. You eventually get back to mainland reality but the desire to be in Hawaii never goes away.

I dunno, Sacramento is quite nice, too! You've got those really big trees over near there somewhere, don't you? We will vacation in your state and you can vacation in our state and that will keep everything nicely balanced.

The ONLY thing I don't like about Hawaii is that it's so far away! I wish it was a lot closer, I'd probably have moved there by now.

Sacramento, Norcal, SF is nice and there are tons of things here. But I guess it's nice to have a change once in a while.

However, I will note that the locals in Hawaii are the most friendly people I have met anywhere. And I've been to a lot of places around the world. The people in Hawaii are great, so generous and welcoming, and always trying to make sure you enjoy your stay. I've never had such good experiences consistently with the locals anywhere I've went.

Cool. Let me know where you are staying and if you need any suggestions and i will point you in the right direction.

Sacramento is known as the city of trees, there is a huge urban canopy here, which is one of the things I like about this place.

But I'm actually an SF native, so I can definitely give you suggestions as to whereabouts in the Bay as well.
