It came to my attention chipotle doesn't franchise / do a Baja Fresh / $50,000 franchise fee

You do need $200k liquid and $1 million net worth

If you have no money for franchises look in the business for sale section of craigslist. Contact your SBA office for guidance, etc.

Franchises don't always do that well in Hawaii anyway. I've got a friend who for some completely unknown reason opened a franchise. I'm not sure if they're gonna be able to keep their house or not. I'm not sure if the demographics study was anything more than the person selling the franchise saying "sure, it will work".

If you're looking to start a business with tourists, they are now wanting more of an interactive experience than their previous vacations. You also need a higher advertising budget than other businesses since your client base changes every ten days.

For Big Island businesses, figure out what a widespread lower end on the economic scale demographic needs.

If it involves shipping, look into the price of shipping things to and from the islands.
