I should think you'd be better off somewhere that's both warm and has a low cost of living, like parts of the S and SW.

Heck, if you can raise the cost of a plane ticket to Hawaii, you've almost got enough to get you a bus ticket and the deposit on a cheap trailer or something of that sort.

1. Did you notice the OP is a 1-post wonder with no replies yet?

2. Cost of a one-way ticket is a couple hundred bucks. What kind of trailer would that buy? A Radio Flyer wagon on a rope?

People actually do this, though. So even if the guy is a troll (and probably is), the problem is still very real.

Rental deposit on my little bungalow in rural Texas was $300, and it was pretty nice, and more house than one person would need. It's amazing how much further money goes in low-COLA areas.

You know what's even better than freezing to death or dying in Hawaii? Having a job and a house

Jesus Christ, the crap people post... I can't imagine the mindset of "where is a good place to be a bum?" as opposed to " what can I do to make sure I have a roof over my head."

No one likes a moocher OP, and I wouldn't wish people like that on the people of Hawaii. God if I had an outlook like yours my dad would disown me and my mom would pretend I don't exist lol. Good luck, sweetheart.

Right. I read a thing on Reddit about some 20something year olds who moved from New York to Florida so they can be druggy burn outs in a warm state. And then in the post they trash talked Florida for having trashy weird people (when that's exactly what they are). It's like the people who no one likes to deal with up north wanna go to warmer states to bug the locals down there. No one likes these people. These people are what republicans think all democrats are like lol.

Best place for homeless: Kauai aka.- warm climate, nice and accommodating people who respect homeless people. It also has social services as good as California. Don't need to freeze while waiting for housing assistance. If they don't have a place for you immediately wait a little while until they find services for you. If done that in Wyoming or Colorada: freeze to death, period.
