Back to the topic at hand. It sounds like some of the other neighbor island mayors may also considering opting out.

How was this not hammered out among all of them prior to announcing the Oct. 15 opening?!?

Seriously - you've not witnessed Hawaii State Government in action these past 7 months?

I'd have been more surprised if they had somehow pulled this off seamlessly with clear communication

Fair enough. I fully expected incompetence in executing whatever they came up with, but why announce a "plan" if there is zero buy in?

The Governor did not need buy in - but because he is indecisive, he opened the door.

He could simply state the Pre-Travel plan is valid for all Counties and be done with it - now, he has a bigger mess on his hands by letting the BI opt out - and maybe others. He could simply reject the BI wanting to opt out.

At this point - don't be surprised - at more surprises - changes - deflections - and a continuing mess.

Yeah, I was surprised (maybe shouldn't be) to hear he had given the mayor's the option to opt out. If you are going to do that, which seems stupid, do it before you announce the "plan"

Really? President Trump not once was labeled a racist prior to him running for president. It is getting quite old leftists labeling every republican a racist and Hitler who run for this office. To be reminded, the Democrat party is the party of racism, slavery, segregation, KKK, and Jim Crow. Biden himself affiliated with segregationists, not President Trump. Biden is proven racist.

LOL. You are pissing into the wind here. No one is going to suddenly choose Trump over Biden based upon your praise or criticism.

I would like the option of voting NO and forcing both parties to offer new candidates.

The current offering is like being given the choice of which disease to die from.

Not attempting to change anyone’s mind. You are right. Everyone who is going to vote has made up their mind in who they are voting for. We can still have a debate?

What candidate would be a good one for the Republican Party? Romney or McCain of he were alive?

Nope, as a conservative, the only candidate who can compete against the left who fights with no gloves is a candidate who will put on brass knuckles.

Gloves are off brace knuckles are on. That’s Trump!

Just pointing out the difference between a vote for Constitutionalism and the left is one party wants to to replace the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution with Karl Marx’s Communist Manifesto. It’s a fight worth fighting.

Was there a radical left placed in positions of power? I’m sure there were a few Marxists here and there, but what exactly is the point you’re making?
